May 12, 2007 Thanks to a few users we have nailed down some of the last remaining issues that were left over from our update to a server based operating system versus using XP to run the telescope systems. The good news is so far no software crashes so far. Although our real-time operating experience has not be long enough to categorically claim victory we are looking at it with guarded optimism. We will update you as we have more experience in the new configurations. The weather continues to be unprecedented in most areas.
We are entertaining plans to add access to more interesting systems. We have begun to attract potential affiliates, (well they are expressing interest in joining the GRAS network) from all over the globe This is only great news for you, our honored subscribers. Everyday we are attracting new members of the research community. They are beginning to discover just how incredibly efficient and cost effective using the GRAS system is as a resource for research.
